London Baby...
Josh & Ella
August 2026

You'll notice that I didn't include a day to the date, but that's because these two celebrated across two days, making their celebrations extra magical, and giving me SO many opportunities to capture their magic.
Their days started in London, at the Melia Whitehouse Hotel, and they got ready together. Whilst getting ready together is something becoming more common, these two really took that opportunity and ran with it. Josh even Curled Ella's hair. A task he did not take lightly, and he delivered!
After a short time, Ella's siblings and mum joined them to finish getting ready, and whilst the stress level was never raised, the emotions were building. Ella was helped into her Six Stories dress by her mum, whilst he siblings took an offcut of their Grandmothers wedding dress to wrap around her bouquet. A bouquet they built themselves from a London flower market the day before.
Typically Ella's dress got a little creased whilst they travelled to London but her mum had the perfect little travel iron to sort it out - even if Ella remained in her dress, and it cut the power once or twice in their room. What a team, and how gorgeous did her dress turn out to be.
After Josh retied his tie for the 18th time, he was finally happy with it, and everyone was set to head downstairs, greet more of the family and call their Ubers to town hall. Everyone was the perfect mix of excited and tearful as they got together. I even caught Ella's Brother shedding a tear. Not that he'd ever admit it. (Don't worry, I got the evidence - but I'll spare you and not share it here!)
Ubers set and onto townhall, and more of their family and friends were waiting. As the guests got settled, Josh and Ella disappeared for their little chat with the registrars, who were lovely, and it wasn't long before the gorgeous instrumental version of Paramore came over the speakers. For the first time, I got to see a bride and groom walk each other down the aisle, as equals, starting their married life as they meant to go on - Together.
A short ceremony, with some wonderful moments, whereby both people smiled the entire time. Their witnesses were Grandparents who held back their tears, and everybody agreed it was a beautiful ceremony. I was a big fan of the reflective windows at the back of the room which allowed some great fine art shots. Something I always keep an extra eye out for.
After the ceremony, a guest surprised the couple with confetti - and thank god we took that opportunity! A wedding with so few guests meant that a traditional aisle confetti shot wasn't going to work, so I got to try out a Confetti Bombe for the first time - What a success! We got the guests to stand in a horseshoe above the couple and throw every petal they had in one go. A much quicker, and more effective option in my opinion. The photos speak for themselves!

After the classic group shots, we spent some time doing couples portraits (and they even got a shot of me working! I'll stick it at the end so you can laugh*) on THE MOST GLORIOUS STAIRCASE I HAVE EVER SEEN! I could've shot on this staircase forever, It was remarkable, and if you want a statement space for couples photos, I can't recommend Camden Town Hall enough. I won't talk about them, I will just show you because.... Chef's Kiss.
After some time here, everyone went across to the St pancreas hotel for some couple shots, before heading across to Coal Drops Yard for a delicious dinner, and drinks. The couple decided not to have more shots done here, but simply wanted to enjoy their day. The perfect end to their official wedding, and the most beautiful weather to relax with an Aperol Spritz.
Check back in for part two of their Celebrations soon. 😘
*and as promised, here is me....
